Berlin – Strassenkinder project and Casablanca Kids.
Berlin – Straßenkinder project.
In Berlin we have two charity partners: Straßenkinder work with homeless young people in Berlin and Casablanca Kids support children who are unable to live with their parents. We have fundraised over the year through events such as the Christmas Action Plan, when the office collected warm clothes. Funds raised went to providing warm meals.
Our fundraising for 2010/11 has enabled Casablanca Kids to lease an eco-friendly car which will enable them to provide a vital service to the Child Housing Project, allowing them to collect the children, transport doctors and run every day errands.
Members of the Berlin office also volunteer at the Kinderhaus Bolle, a youth centre for disadvantaged children in the Berlin suburb of Marzahn. Volunteers get their hands dirty helping with the maintenance of the centre.
