Thank you for all your hard work helping with the fencing at Hatfield Forest – a very enjoyable day was had by all! We rely on teams of volunteers to help protect and maintain Hatfield Forest so all your time and effort makes a real difference to us."Henry Bexley, Head Warden, NT Hatfield Forest.
As a firm we think green in everything we do. This can extend from our carbon emissions and recycling efforts to supporting green causes and how our green-fingered members of staff can make a difference.
Each department in the firm spends the day volunteering at the Hatfield Forest Nature Reserve, helping maintain this historically important site. Teams have also volunteered to tend to and improve the gardens at Coram and Carlton Primary School. In particular, with the assistance of the Olswang Gardening Club, members of staff are helping turn a garden at our charity partner Coram into a beautiful sensory garden for children.
Every year the firm celebrates Green Week and to mark it each member of staff is given seeds to grow their own chilli plants. The chilli plants are tended to by staff and one year later go on to compete in Olswang's annual chilli plant parade!
The popular Gardening Club also regularly takes on its own projects, the most recent of which being the preparation of the Holborn office's outdoor areas to ensure sufficient bee-friendly plants in anticipation of the arrival of Olswang's bees.
